12:15 - 12:40 OUTSIDE TIME

The children choose from a variety of activities and equipment available the playground.

12:45 - 1:15 CIRCLE TIME

The children participate in singing, finger plays, games, movement and music corresponding to the current theme.

1:15 - 2:00 FREE PLAY

The children choose from a variety of centres and
activities. Play materials are changed regularly according to themes, interest and abilities of the children.

2:00 - 2:05 CLEAN-UP

The children and adults work together to tidy the room.

2:05 - 2:15 SNACK TIME

After washing their hands, the children sit in small groups to eat their snacks and chat with others.

2:15 - 2:35 CENTRE TIME

The children work on one academic concept in a different way in each centre. The children are groups of five with one Early Childhood Educator. The children rotate through the week from centre to centre.

2:35 -2:45 STORY TIME

Stories are told, demonstrated on the flannel board or read to the children.

This schedule is flexible and accommodating to the differing needs and preferences of the children on a day to day basis.
